Space is a very dangerous environment as proven in Gravity 2013 Movie starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, directed by by Alfonso Cuaron. In the Gravity movie,Sandra plays Dr. Ryan Stone who is a brilliant engineer on her first shuttle mission tagged STS-157 aboard Explorer with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski played by George Clooney. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk while doing EVA- Extra Vehicular Activity in space, disaster strikes caused by a missile launch in Russia that spew debris into space endangaring the crew and mission specailist while repairing the Hubble Space Telescope as the space shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness which eventually throwing them in space hopeful that they float in space and that gravity would not takeover immediately so as not for them to plummet like a speeding bullet entering the earth's atmosphere.
In Gravity movie space is supposed to be a vacuum environment so that there is no sound when outside the shuttle which first depicted in Space Oddysey. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth relying only to the space station and chinese space station as their last resort to go back to earth so the chance for rescue is very slim not to mention that supply of 02 fast depleting.
The Gravity 2013 Movie is a product of the brilliant mind of Alfonso Cuaron as every thing or most part of the movie was centered in space. Boring as it may seem, in the end lesson's learned was, good thing we have Gravity coz up in there is really a terrible and hostile environment in which it is a place where you, I and Sandra Bullock don't want to be in:D
